The Aram Gallery is seeking a curator for a 1-year fixed-term position (January 2020 to January 2021)

The Aram Gallery is an independent non-profit space (on the 3rd floor of Aram Store) that encourages and promotes understanding of contemporary design. We open 5-6 shows a year addressing topics within design: including architecture, fashion, product and graphics. Exhibitions include solo and group shows, with a thematic, material or process-led focus. Exhibitors are selected for their experimental thinking.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the director to curate a series of 5-6 temporary exhibitions that meet our aims

• Work independently to manage each exhibition’s budget, timeline and installation

• Organise private views

• Maintain communication of gallery activities through mailing lists, website and social media

• Deal with PR/press
